About Sevap
Sevap is a word known across the region for a good deed done for others. That is exactly what the platform is for.
Why Sevap
Every year, people across the region raise millions for treatment and emergencies through text messages, bank slips and social media. Too often, donors cannot see where the money went, and fraudulent appeals are on the rise.
Sevap brings it together in one place, with one standard: every campaign is checked, money goes to the provider, and everything is public.
Legal status
Sevap is being set up as a non-profit private foundation (zavod) based in Slovenia. Until registration is complete, no donations are collected.
The foundation's surplus cannot be distributed to its founders. It is used for reserves and donated onward each year, as written in its founding act.
How we handle money
- Donations for a campaign are kept separate and used only for that campaign.
- Whenever possible, we pay the provider directly against an invoice.
- The platform fee is 5%, shown before every payment.
- Surplus above a six-month reserve of operating costs is donated by 31 January of the following year.
- Every year we publish a report: raised, fees, costs, reserve and donated surplus.
